If you own a motorcycle in Florida, you will need apply for motorcycle registration in order to register it and to drive it legally on state roads. Upon registration, the DMV will give you the regular motorcycle license plates to mount on your motorcycle. The registration and license plates must be renewed upon expiry date. If you own a motorized vehicle, which you use for off-road purposes, you don’t need to register it.

Initial motorcycle registration, titling and other relevant renewals are processed at your local county license plate agency. Registration and renewal fees and other costs vary depending on the type of vehicle.
