About FISCHER

The Fisher Motor Company was founded by Daniel Fischer as a US-based motorcycle company which would specifically manufacture sports bikes. Daniel brought together a number of famous automotive suppliers and US-based heavy equipment manufacturers on one platform and collaborated with them to develop their first-ever motorcycle, the MRX 650 for mass production. Some of these collaborating companies included big names such as Michael Jordan Motorsports and even Harley-Davidson. In the words of Daniel Fischer, the MRX 650 had a passion for speed, a passion for technology, and a simple commitment to quality.

As years passed by, a number of designers and engineers kept entering and leaving the company and Fisher Motor Company saw a lot of ups and downs. The company was at its peak in 2010 when Fisher announced an increase in production. It is also reported that Fischer had plans to expand the company’s operations to India with its new 150cc motorbikes. The company planned to launch a newer model for the local Indian Market named Fischer MRX 150. Fischer Motor Company altogether produced a few dozen sports bike models over its short tenure in the motorcycle market and finally ceased production in 2012.

Fischer developed the company with a vision of not reinventing the wheel but rather unlocking the full potential of existing technology and fine-tuning it according to the current requirements. These rides were believed to be super comfortable, easy to ride, and solidly put together. The demise of Fischer motors was believed to be really untimely since they were not doing bad with their production and sales. A major portion of the bikers community still believes that Fischer going out of business left a gaping hole in the motorcycle market which has not been filled ever since. Alan Cathcart of the Motorcyclist Magazine named the Fischer MRX 650 as ‘the most important new American motorcycle in generations.
